week 11 and a bit...

so when i said 'this hand is 100% finished!' i lied. i started on the wings and found much prettier way of texturing things up so i went back and re did all the main plates on the arms and legs to match and it looks even sharper than before. I managed to get the hang of specularity maps properly and finally make them look effective in Keyshot! mainly, all it took was to turn the chrome metal underneath the paint black so it reflects duh surroundings in a crispier way. and then the scratches are shiny and reflective and the paint is worn and dull! just... its here below so look for yourself. I'm done explaining shit.

week 11111111111




its ok its ok they're not golden its a sunset HDR map. the two scenes I'm liking the most is sunset and nighttime so I've found dome maps for lighting




so these are the mock ups I've done for the backgrounds. my favourite ones are the cityscape and the clouds and planet
